Summer Workshops

Our Summer Workshops are unique one week programs. Each one is an abbreviated version of a popular play.  You can be in one week or more.

Program schedule by town is listed below, or you can register immediately now if you know what you want.

WE ARE IN THESE TOWNS
All workshop schedule are the same in each location.  You can select which town you want on the registration page. 
Drama Discovery reserves the right to relocate camps approximately 10 minutes from the original location if necessary.

Briarcliff:  Congregational Church of Briarcliff
Bedford: Mt Kisco Unitarian Church
Rye:  Resurrection Grammar School Rye, NY (Live Stage)
White Plains:  First Baptist Church of White Plains
Bronxville & New Rochelle:  Village Lutheran Church Bronxville, NY
Eastchester: will be held at Bronxville location or Scarsdale Location 
Scarsdale:  Friends Meeting House Popham road
Katonah:  Katonah LibrarySouth Salem:  Katonah Library
Brewster & North Salem:  Little Studio around the Corner Main St, Brewster
Danbury, CT: City Center (has a different schedule, please click here)
Ridgefield, CT: (You can't register online, you have to call the camp owner to enroll: 1-914-286-7422)

TUITION is $225 Per Week until July 25, 2013
THEREAFTER: $250

Grades K-2 (FULL DAY)

9-9:45  Voice exercises and acting/dancing games
9:45-10:30  Rehearse Musical
10:30-10:45  snack
10:45-11:30 Art project for play
11:30-12 sing/dance lesson 
12-12:25 lunch 
12:25-12:45 recess
12:45-1:45 rehearse play
1:45-2:10 break/snack/creative writing or story telling 
2:10-2:50 work on musical
2:50-3 get ready for dismissal.  Calm story time by counselor



>> On Friday, Children stay until the Play at 6pm for a Pizza Party

Grades 2-6 (FULL DAY)

9-9:30  Acting or dance or singing lesson
9:30-10:45 Rehearse play
10:45-11 snack break
11-12 rehearse play
12-12:30 lunch
12:30-1 simple scenery
1-1:15 recess
1:15-2:30 Rehease play (10 minute snack break)
2:30-2:50 theater games
2:50 get ready for dismissal
1:30-2:15 Singing or dancing lessons
2:15-2:50 Rehearse play
2:50 cool down /relax dismissal

>> On Friday, Children stay until the Play at 6pm for a Pizza Party

Kindergarten Students may stay for HALF DAY if desired. ($40 less)

All Students are Welcome To Stay until 5:30pm for
Arts&Activities for $175/wk

(Please note, if less than 5 people sign up for Art&Activities, we will provide this option, but will refund for this portion if the case - but not a refund for the whole program.)

CINDERELLA

A frolicking and fun Disney show filled with a good role for each child and songs and dances. Show at 6pm-6:30

August 5-9 (Grades 3RD-6TH)

PIRATES OF PENZANCE

Gilbert And Sullivan's most famous musical with swoshbuckling pirates, sword fights, great  songs,  and dances Show 6:40-7:30

August 12-16 (Grades k-2ND & 3RD-6TH )

PETER PAN

Captain Hook and his pirates, mermaids, the lost children, Peter Pan, Michael Wendy and John.  A classic favorite with all the fun dances, songs and acting.  Two groups combine to do one show.  Show 6PM-7pm

ARISTOCATS

Wonderful songs and creative dances. Hand made costumes and scenery by the children.   Show 6-6:30pm

THE SOUND OF MUSIC or ANNIE

The fabulous musical version inspired by the very wonderful movie.  Show 6:40-7:30pm

August 26-30 (Grades k-2ND & 3RD-6TH )

MARY POPPINS 

The two groups form together to create the most popular show to hit Broadway Show will be on THURSDAY AUGUST 29 with an optional Arts camp on Friday August 30 .  This is so families may leave early for the Labor Day Week end if they wish.
Show: 6-7pm
